Homework questions 1 and 2

Here I will post the questions I get (without the sender's name, of course, so don't be shy! There are no dumb questions!). Then I will post my answer underneath.

I will post any answers to questions regarding the lab itself and I encourage you to comment and start conversations.
However, please do not post answers to questions from the homework, as these are graded. Any comments that have answers to the questions will be deleted. You may discuss concepts that are needed to answer the homework questions, but not anything that will give the answer directly.

As for questions for me, please email them to me at catoupadakis@gmail.com, and then I will make them a post. Also, if you don't want me to post your questions, or want me to remove your questions for some reason, let me know.
